The company was established in Northern Ireland in 1982 to manufacture concrete-filled manhole covers for BT. During the intervening years the company's record of quality and service resulted in rapid growth in its business and since 1994, Salmor has supplied 100% of BT's concrete-filled cover and frame requirements nationwide.

Salmor has also developed an unrivalled position within the UK Cable Television and Energy markets and has continued to expand into other utilities including Highways, Railways and Gas. The company also services the UK and Irish Water Markets supplying a range of bespoke fabricated steel covers designed to comply with European lifting requirements.
